Mahmood Ahmad FCA
Mr Ahmad is one of the most experienced accountants in Wales. He has over 40 years senior level experience in providing professional advice to small businesses. He has worked in Africa, Middle East, Asia and Europe with Ernst & Young. Mr Ahmad built up the practice in South Wales, and has acted for many clients for decades helping to sustain and grow their businesses over different economic cycles. He has successfully negotiated with HMRC on behalf of clients, and has a breadth of industry experience across different business sectors.
Kashif Ahmed, BSc, ACA, ATT
Kashif has over twelve years of senior global experience in delivering accounting and financial services with PwC and Deloitte. He believes that today’s entrepreneurs require a unique combination of financial knowledge and state of the art innovative methods of data collection which is sensitive to the busy lives of professionals and not always available in a general accounting practice.
Being passionate about the industry, knowledgeable about financial advice and wealth management and committed to his clients success, Kashif brings together a dynamic network of finance, legal and commercial experts together with tomorrow’s rising business stars.

Accountancy and book-keeping services
We ensure you meet the statutory requirements for producing accounts. We can set up appropriate accounting procedures and controls and ensure your accounts are kept fully up-to-date and in compliance with statutory regulations. In addition, we can tailor the book-keeping to provide you with invaluable and timely management accounts to help you run your business. We also provide training programmes, to help you set up an ‘in-house’ bookkeeping function.
Tax advisory
We pride ourselves on providing cutting edge, bespoke tax advice to our clients. We will review your personal and business affairs, combining personal and business tax planning to minimize your tax liability. If your needs are straightforward we can also help with your annual tax compliance requirements for example completing tax returns.
VAT
We provide a cost effective VAT service, which assists with advice on applicable schemes, VAT planning, administration and control, record keeping and completing your VAT returns. We also negotiate with HMRC in enquiries or disputes.
Payroll services
We take the burden out of running a payroll function by producing payslips, payroll reports on how much to pay your staff and HMRC, calculating statutory holiday pay, maternity and sick pay, and submitting your payroll information electronically to HMRC under the ‘RTI’ regime.
Business consultancy
We assist our clients in developing business strategies and financial forecasts. We have an established and wide network with banks, solicitors, commercial agents and our own large client base of potential customers or suppliers. We successfully assist our clients in raising finance and to source appropriate grant and funding opportunities. We also help develop and nurture businesses, for an eventual exit from the business. We run regular seminars on business related topics to keep you updated and a chance to network.

Senior Accountant (flexible hours)
Agnitio Chartered Accountants and Tax Advisors are a rapidly growing, dynamic practice. We have been established for over 40 years and due to continued success and major investment in the business, it has been identified that support for the team is essential and we are now looking to recruit a new member. The position offered allows for flexible work hours and part time hours.
The role requires a confident and friendly individual, someone who has the drive, appetite and motivation to take responsibility for their work load and assist with training of trainee accountants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full accounts preparation for sole traders, partnerships & limited companies;
- Preparation of management accounts & cash flow statements;
- Preparation of tax computations, CT600s & self-assessment returns completion;
- Preparation of VAT returns;
- Liaise with clients on accounts and tax queries as required;
- Training junior staff members;
- Reviewing junior staff members work;
- Payroll supervision;
- Book-keeping services and supervision/training of book-keepers;
- Undertake different ad hoc duties and projects as required;
- Reporting directly to the partners.
Knowledge & Experience:
- ACCA / ACA / QBE is preferred;
- Minimum of 3 years of working experience in a general practice;
- Strong computer skills;
- Strong analytical, tax and accounting skills;
- Sound accounting/tax system knowledge; Digita/Sage experience is desirable;
- Xero experience desirable;
- Payroll experience preferred;
- Accuracy in daily work and other projects;
- Ability to meet communicated schedules and deadlines;
- Ability to function as a team player, and supervise staff.
Salary range:
£25k to £35k per annum dependent on experience (pro rata)
